Beneath kilometers of ancient ice…
they found no city.
No palace.
No weapons.
Only endless shelves.
Each one holding crystal vials.
Perfectly preserved.
STACY:
“What are they?”
A scientist carefully examined one.
His face turned pale.
SCIENTIST:
“DNA.”
Another vial.
SCIENTIST:
“Mammoth.”
Another.
SCIENTIST:
“Dodo.”
Another.
Silence.
STACY:
“And this one?”
The scientist slowly lowered the vial.
SCIENTIST:
“I’ve never seen anything like it.”
At the end of the chamber stood one final shelf.
One crystal cylinder.
Empty.
Its inscription read:
HOMO SAPIENS
No one spoke.
Stacy looked at Caelwyn.
STACY:
“They were waiting for us.”
Caelwyn quietly shook his head.
CAELWYN:
“No.”
He looked across the endless vault.
CAELWYN:
“They were preserving us.”
🜍 THE PRICE OF CIVILIZATION
Every civilization leaves behind its history.
What if ours…
is only another specimen waiting to be archived?
If you remember what this felt like —
you already know what you’re missing.
Step back into it.
Or keep missing it.
