A second man steps forward.
Same door.
He reaches—

Mara frowns.
“…that’s not fair.”
Chibi watches.
“Wait.”
The first man turns slightly.
Just a look.
Just enough.
People shift.
Not toward the second man—
away from him.
Mara’s eyes widen.
“…he did that.”
“Yeah.”
“He showed them.”
The second man tries again.
“Excuse me—”
No answer.
No one looks.
His voice feels smaller.
Wrong.
Mara steps forward.
“That’s not okay.”
Chibi grabs her sleeve.
“Don’t.”
“…why?”
“For them to change,” he says quietly,
“They have to see you differently.”
Mara hesitates.
“…so make them.”
Chibi shakes his head.
“They already are.”
Mara looks down.
At her stance.
Her step.
Not right.
People pass closer.
Less space.
Her breath tightens.
“…Chibi.”
“Yeah.”
“I don’t like this.”
“Me neither.”
She takes another step.
Careful.
Measured.
Trying to match.
Something shifts.
Subtle.
People adjust.
Just a little.
Better.
Chibi sees it.
“…you felt that.”
Mara doesn’t answer.
She just watches the street—
like it’s watching back.
