🕯️ 22 DECEMBER — ELJARA AFTER THE TURN

🜍 ENGLISH

Eljara doesn’t watch the house.
She moves through it.

Quietly.

A cup refilled.
A blanket pulled closer.
The fire nudged back to life.

Outside, the night is still heavy.
The dark hasn’t noticed yet
that it has already lost.

Inside, the house exhales.

Mara and Chibi slow down at last,
voices softer now,
their energy settling like ash after flame.

Sean looks up when Eljara passes.
A nod.
Enough said.

Stacy remains near the window,
counting what cannot yet be seen.

Eljara keeps going.

Hands busy.
Warmth shared.
Small acts that don’t ask permission
and don’t need to be named.

This is not ritual.
This is not belief.

This is care.

The longest night is over.
But the light hasn’t arrived yet.

That’s fine.

Someone has to hold the space
until it does.

Some of us measure the dark.
Some guard the threshold.
Some make sure no one feels alone
while waiting.

If you’re carrying warmth today —
for others, or just for yourself —
you’re welcome to share.

And if not,
sit with us a while longer.

The light is on its way.
It just moves slowly.
