“…it stopped.”
Stacy watches the room.
Everything fits.
Too clean.
Caelwyn shakes his head.
“No.”
A beat.
“It settled.”
People move.
No hesitation.
No correction.
Just flow.
A man speaks.
Confident.
Easy.
The group listens.
Not focused.
Automatic.
“…he’s not even trying,” Stacy says.
“He doesn’t have to.”
The man pauses—
Says something wrong.
A detail off.
No one reacts.
No correction.
Conversation continues.
Seamless.
Stacy exhales slowly.
“…they ignored it.”
“No.”
Caelwyn’s voice is quiet.
“They adjusted it.”
A pause.
“To fit him.”
Across the room—
another man stands alone.
Still well-dressed.
Still there.
He speaks.
Someone glances.
Then looks away.
Nothing follows.
“…he’s trying,” Stacy says.
“Yeah.”
“And it’s not working.”
The man adjusts.
Matches tone.
Matches rhythm.
Better.
Nothing changes.
“…that should fix it.”
“No.”
A pause.
“That would have fixed it.”
“…before.”
Caelwyn nods.
The room continues.
One man moves effortlessly.
Recognized.
Accepted.
Stable.
The other remains at the edge.
Visible.
But not part of anything.
Stacy watches him.
“…he could prove it.”
Caelwyn shakes his head.
“It wouldn’t matter.”
Silence.
The man tries again.
Clear.
Correct.
Ignored.
Completely.
“…they’re not checking anymore.”
“No.”
“They already decided.”
Stacy looks back.
“…does he know?”
Caelwyn watches the first man.
The ease.
The certainty.
Then quietly:
“He will.”
A beat.
“And then?”
Caelwyn exhales.
“Then he stops pretending.”
🜍 TRICKSTER — WEEK 4
Reputation doesn’t reflect reality.
It replaces it.
And given enough time—
you stop performing it
and start becoming it.
🜍 One theme. One month. One descent.
🜍 Trickster. Fool. Fracture.
If you remember what this felt like —
you already know what you’re missing.
Step back into it.
Or keep missing it.
