Theta-IV was already breaking when the Inquisition arrived—
a world worn thin by devotion,
its storms falling like fractured prayers,
too heavy for its saints to carry.

Iron cathedrals bent beneath red lightning.
Servo-altars whispered hymns
no sanctioned clergy remembered teaching.
The faithful rusted inside their armor,
icons hollowed out by fear,
hope spent beyond recovery.

They fled when the psyker felt it.

Not above.
Not before.

Deeper.

Behind the vault.

An ancient war-titan—
once a god of battle,
now something listening.
Corrupted.
Awake.

The retreat was not clean.

They sealed the breach.
They burned what could burn.
Then they ran.

Pain followed them out.

Reporting before the Eye of the Emperor,
they were forced to tear the corruption from themselves—
memory by memory,
nerve by nerve.

The Emperor answered.

Not gently.
Not fully.

Judgment leaves scars where mercy would leave faith.

Now the question is no longer what was found beneath Theta-IV—
but what stirred when it was disturbed.

The ashes have not cooled.
The titan still dreams.

And the Inquisition has issued new orders.
