The French Revolution.

The Greek War of Independence.
None began because suffering was new.
They began because people believed change was possible.

And Horus?
Sean:
Trust broke first.
Only later came Chaos.
The Emperor kept secrets.
The dream changed.
Horus believed he wasn’t betraying the Imperium—
he believed he was saving it.
Eljara:
That’s uncomfortable.
Sean:
History usually is.
A moment passed.
Eljara:
So if Horus had won…
Sean:
He might be remembered as Horus the Liberator.
Not Horus the Arch-Traitor.
She stared at him.

Then what’s the difference between a freedom fighter…
and a traitor?
Sean didn’t answer immediately.

Perspective.

Memory.
Another silence.

So every rebellion is justified?
Sean:
No.
Understanding a rebellion isn’t the same as approving it.
Every revolution promises freedom.
Not every revolution survives becoming power.

What happens after the victory?
Sean looked across the endless hive.

Everyone knows how to overthrow a king.
Very few know how to avoid becoming one.
