Sean frowns.

“That’s agreement.”

He doesn’t like that.

“Agreement needs intent.”

She glances at him.

“Then why does everyone agree?”

A man nearby pauses mid-sentence.

“…it just felt like the right—”

Break.

“…time.”

Sean exhales.

“That’s still happening.”

“Cleaner,” she says.

They stop walking.

The city moves.

Perfect timing.

“It’s not correcting anymore,” Sean says.

“No.”

“It doesn’t need to.”

A beat.

“You feel it?” she asks.

“Yeah.”

“What?”

Sean watches the pattern hold.

“Like we’re late.”

She shakes her head.

“Not late.”

A small pause.

“Outside.”

They start walking again.
